Its molecular weight is approximately 1419 g/mol. TB-500 (5mg) is a synthetic version of a 43-amino-acid region of thymosin beta-4, a 4.9 kDa protein expressed in nearly all animal cell types. Thymosin beta-4 was originally isolated from calf thymus tissue in the 1960s.
